LFS 2024

LFS 2024 will take place in Lagos, Nigeria as a hybrid meeting, where some participants will join in-person and some will join remotely. You will be able to view and download the Program Booklet here when it is available.

Meeting Goals/Purpose

The 7th Annual Lagos Forensic Symposium (LFS) organized by the Lagos State Government, Lagos State DNA & Forensic Center (LSD&FC), GIZ German Embassy, Nigeria and ITSI-Biosciences, Johnstown, PA, USA will take place in 2024.

LFS 2024 will bring together experts in Forensic Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Crime Scene Processing, Crime Scene Investigation, Arson Investigations, Trace Evidence, Forensic Pathology, Prosecution, Defense and Humanitarian Forensics.

LFS 2024 will focus on Forensic Science Practice in Africa. The following areas will be covered:

-Murder investigations

-Sexual Assault Investigations

-Disaster Victim Identification

-Fire Investigations

-Accident Investigations

-Suicide Investigations

Target Audience

The target audience includes Judges, Magistrates, Lawyers, Legislators, Police, Immigration, Customs, Investigators, Forensic Pathologist/Scientists, Medical practitioners, Emergency Responders, Fire Brigade, Investigative Journalists, Students and the Press.

Meeting Venue

The meeting will take place in Lagos for the in-person part of the hybrid meeting.

The platform for the virtual attendance of the symposium will be announced. If you plan to attend the meeting online, please make sure to indicate on the registration and make sure your email is correct because that is where you will receive the meeting link.
